Brownie Bread
1 c plus 2 tbs water
2 tbs canola oil
1 egg
1 egg yolk
3 c bread flour
1/2 c unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 c sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c chopped walnuts
2 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
Bring water to a boil. Add cocoa and stir until dissolved. Let cool. Combine the cooled cocoa with the remaining ingredients, except for the nuts, into the machine. Use the 1.5 lb., medium basic cycle. Add the walnuts about 15 minutes into the knead cycle, or at the beeper.
