Sour Cream and Cheese Yeast Bread
1 pkg Active dry yeast
1/4 c hot water
2 1/3 c unsifted flour - divided
2 tbs sugar
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 c sour cream
1 egg, beaten
1 c grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 t ground black pepper
Preheat oven to 350 F. Dissolve yeast in hot water in large bowl. Add 1 1/3 c flour, sugar, salt, soda, sour cream and egg. Blend 30 seconds on low speed. Stir in remaining flour, cheese and pepper. Divide batter evenly between 2 8x4" greased loaf pans. Let rise about 1 1/2 hours or until doubled. Bake 30 minutes.
